Mcl1 was detected in the optic fiber layer and the optic nerve head, indicating that, like Tctp, this protein localizes to retinal ganglion cell axons in vivo. (B) Complements Fig. 8A: Outer nuclear layer of a stage 43 wild-type retina (coronal section) probed for Mcl1 and Rhodopsin, and counterstained with DAPI.
