Xenopus embryos that were exposed to celecoxib showed concentration-dependent phenotypic malformations, including abnormal gut coiling, truncal oedema and severe haemorrhage (B). As the celecoxib concentration increased, embryo survival rates decreased, while the rate and severity of malformations increased (C).
