Transverse sections of a representative embryo exposed to DMSO (C,E) and Epothilone B (D,F) were stained to reveal the presence of α-tubulin (green; MTs), β-catenin (red; membrane) and nuclei (blue). An increased number of M-phase stalled mitotic figures (arrowheads) can be observed in the epothilone-treated gut, but gut elongation is only mildly affected; MT arrays and cell-cell adhesion are normal.
