Job Description

A postdoc position is available in the laboratory of Dr. Nicolas Plachta at the Institute of Molecular and Cell Biology (IMCB) of ASTAR in Singapore.

The position requires a Ph.D. in molecular, cell and developmental biology, biophysics or biological imaging. Applications from candidates with strong backgrounds in other areas are also welcome. Only applicants with excellent track records will be considered.

Our lab applies advanced imaging technologies to reveal how mammalian cells choose their fate, shape, and position in complex in vivo systems, such as the developing mouse embryo. We study the molecular and cellular dynamics that regulate mammalian cells in vivo, using highly cross-disciplinary approaches. We also extend our work to other biological systems like stem cells and neurons.

The lab is supported by A*STAR, EMBO, and HHMI.
