2 Research Fellow/Lab Technician Positions - Veterinary & Animal Sciences - University of Massachusetts Amherst

Job Description:
The Alfandari laboratory at the University of Massachusetts Amherst (UMass, Amherst) seeks one to two Research Fellow/Lab Technicians to screen and characterize antibodies against Xenopus proteins.  The screening will involve immunofluorescence, ELISA, Western Blot, Immunoprecipitation and Mass spectrometry.  The successful candiate(s) will assist the principal investigators in performing a variety of experiments. 

These are benefited, full-time positions.  Initial appointment is for one year; reappointment beyond the first year is contingent upon availability of funding and job performance. Jobs are grant funded from NIH, with renewals expected for four years.  Remuneration will depend on previous experience but will be competitive.

Applicants must have a bachelor in science with 1 year laboratory experience. Experience with cell culture and Protein purification would be a plus.
