Position
Associate ProfessorResearch Description
Developmental biology, Molecular biology, Gene expression. About 20,000 genes of mammals such as humans and mice are estimated. Among them, less than 10,000 genes are known to function. In the post-genome era, methods for efficiently isolating important genes from unknown treasures are highly desired. We devised a method for exhaustive isolation of genes that show tissue area / cell specific expression called rapid in situ hybridization. We are using it to promote isolation of biologically and medically important genes.
