2018 Xenopus Bioinformatics Workshop

Hello Xenopus Community

I am happy to announce the dates for the next NXR Bioinformatics workshop. It will be held May 13-19, 2018. More information and a link to the registration page can be found on the workshop webpage. If you are intending to participate, but don’t want to pay until closer to the workshop I would like to ask you to register and select the “pay later” option. That way it gives me an idea of the number of people who will be coming.

2018 Syllabus TBD

This year we have as instructors Leonid Peshkin, Taejoon Kwon and Joshua Fortriede.

I hope to have the syllabus out in the next couple weeks, but it will be of similar format to previous years. This year we will have Joshua from Xenbase taking part and helping to demonstrate navigation of Xenbase. Single cell sequencing will also be included, though it is not the focus of the workshop. As in the past this workshop is a fantastic way to learn hands on how to process your RNA-Seq or proteomics data and we encourage you to bring your own data to process during the workshop.

If you have any questions feel free to contact me. We look forward to seeing you in Woods Hole.

Sincerely,
Marko Horb
