Description	The 3'-terminal EcoRI fragment of the al cDNA clone, encoding the activation domain of XLFBla spanning from the EcoRI site at position 1058 (see Fig. 1) to the EcoRI site in the cloning adaptor, was ligated into the EcoRI site of prokaryotic expression vector pGEX-3X (Pharmacia). The fusion protein was purified from isopropyl-o-D-thiogalactopyranoside (IPTG)-induced bacteria on a glutathione-Sepharose 4B column (Pharmacia) as described by the manufacturer. AA 1-605
