The rab32 protein is a small GTPase involved in intracellular membrane trafficking and organelle biogenesis. It localizes to vesicles, melanosomes, and cilia-associated structures. This protein functions in the regulation of melanosome maturation and transport within pigment cells. It also participates in ciliogenesis, particularly in the trafficking of cargo proteins to the cilium. Expression is observed in the otic vesicle and pronephros during development. [-]
