The OPN5 neurons in the caudal diencephalon are in close proximity to the rostral extent of the dopaminergic neurons of the posterior tuberculum. OPN5-positive neurons (i, Left) and TH-positive neurons (i, Right) are found in close proximity to each other within the caudal diencephalon.
