Staining in the dorsal fin (black arrow, panel E) is background and was also observed in controls. In conventional staining (panels A–H), precise localization within the pronephros is difficult, but the FCIS overlap (panel K) clearly shows that expression is restricted to the early proximal domain (pink region, panel K).
