Job Description
Job Summary
A Research Laboratory Technician Senior/Inter position is available in the Edwards Lab at the University of Michigan, a new lab opening in early 2026 in the Department of Cell & Developmental Biology (CDB). We use an innovative combination of developmental biology models including Xenopus (frog), mouse, and pluripotent stem cells, gene editing, and microscopy techniques to investigate the disease genetics and developmental biology of the trachea (“windpipe”) and esophagus (“food pipe”).
Our group values teamwork, community, and intellectual growth. We are seeking a self-motivated laboratory technician who will assist in launching the lab and collaborating on ongoing research projects. Working under the guidance of Dr. Nicole Edwards, the Principal Investigator, the desired candidate will gain competence in routine techniques, work on research projects, and train new personnel.
