Current Research Interests Toxicity especially long-term toxic effects of various pollutants and their transformation products on animals and human Uptake, reputation, and impacts of anthropogenic and natural mineral pollutants in the aquatic and terrestrial ecosystems. Establishment of of bioassay tools for ecotoxicity tests in the Eastern and Southern Africa regions especially Xenopus spp which are native. Establishment of the effect of different climatic and biophysical conditions on toxicity of organic pollutants. Genotoxicity, teratogenic, mutagenic, and carcinogenic effects of degradation products of organic chemicals with special reference to the pesticides used in Eastern Africa. Epidemiology of metal accumulation through the coupled life cycles of copepods, tapeworms, cyprinid fish, and humans in the coastal zone of Lake Victoria, Kenya.
