AI Protein Function : The ddr1 protein is a discoidin domain receptor tyrosine kinase that binds collagen. It localizes to the plasma membrane and is involved in cell adhesion, migration, and proliferation during embryonic development. Expression is observed in the developing notochord, somites, neural crest cells, and cranial ganglia. Its function includes regulating convergent extension movements during gastrulation and neurulation.
