Description	A fragment of Xfim-1 cDNA which encodes the C-terminal region of the protein just downstream of the homeodomain (amino acids 265-403; Taira et al., 1992) was generated by polymerase chain reaction and inserted into the BamHI and EcoRI sites of pGEX2T plasmid (Pharmacia). The presence of an in-frame Glutathione S transferase- XUM-1 (GST-XLlM-1) fusion was verified by sequencing. The fusion protein was expressed in Escherichia coli strain BL21 (DE)Lys (Novagene)
