Solutions containing desired concentrations of various heavy metal ions were perfused in (downward arrows) and out (upward arrows), as indicated. (B) Concentration-dependent inhibition of the steady state current by Zn2+. Holding potential was at −30 mV. Continuous recording at 27.4°C for more than 50 min.
