RFP-tagged dP2XB–E receptors localized to membranes of an intracellular organelle (Column A) with no detectable expression on the plasma membrane. eGFP-tagged vatM, which corresponds to the 100-kDa subunit of the contractile vacuole vH+ATPase (14) localized to the same intracellular membranes as RFP-tagged dP2X receptors (Columns B and C), showing that dP2X receptors are enriched on the membranes of the contractile vacuole.
