12th Aquatic Models for Human Disease (AQMHD) Conference 2026

Dear AQMHD community,

Abstract submission is now open for AQMHD 2026!
Join us October 17–21, 2026 at the Marine Biological Laboratory in Woods Hole, Massachusetts for the 12th Aquatic Models of Human Disease Conference.

Students, postdocs, staff scientists, junior faculty, established investigators — we want to hear from you!

We welcome abstracts using aquatic models to understand human biology and disease. Abstracts may be considered for a 15-minute talk, poster, or poster plus lightning talk. Abstract text is limited to 250 words. Scientific themes include development, regeneration, cancer, genomics, functional genetics, metabolism, immunology/microbiome, toxicology, behavior/physiology, evolution, and nutrition. We welcome work across established and emerging aquatic systems, including zebrafish, gar, killifish, medaka, stickleback, Xiphophorus, lamprey, Xenopus, cephalopods, squid, Aplysia, hydra, Nematostella, tunicates, sea urchins, planarians, ctenophores, Ciona, echinoderms, Aiptasia, coral, and more!
